rant is a book that kind of disgusts me, but i think that was palahniuk's intention.
and i can appreciate shocking, abnormal literature.
the book is like a modern-day satire, almost.

he wrote something terribly disgusting and disturbing in hopes of people rethinking certain things about themselves and societal ideals.
it emphasizes peoples obsession with life, money, status and how ridiculous it is; how people are so quick to ignore major problems and issues because theyre caught up in things are unimportant.
maybe this is why chuck palahniuk is all the rage right now.
